When the Meek Mill memes were making the rounds a few weeks ago, rapper Aubrey Graham popularly referred to as Drake, must have felt like a bad guy until Internet trolls came for his bare butt after his new muse, Serena Williams lost at the U.S. Open.
"Bloody-fucking-hell" was one of many beautiful expletives that emanated from fans across the Internet when Serena Williams unexpectedly lost to Roberta Vinci of Italy in the U.S. Open semi-finals.
In the match monitored by OSHODI.TV Vinci defeated Williams 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 to move on to the U.S. Open Finals, where she'll face fellow Italian Flavia Pennetta.
Drake and his daffy-duck smile was spotted several times by cameras as he cheered Serena towards a humbling defeat.
One might not really understand why Drake is being blamed, until one realizes that this isn’t the first time the Canadian bad luck charm has jinxed athletes.
One of his favorite teams, the Toronto Raptors, reportedly lost in the first round of the playoffs in the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons. He also endorsed English soccer player Daniel Sturridge, and soon enough England's national team got booted from the World Cup in the group stage.
Serena’s rumored boyfriend supported the Kentucky Wildcats, who also lost in the Final Four of the 2015 NCAA tournament after undefeated run.
